This year’s 19U boys’ basketball team have achieved an amazing feat: the boys went undefeated throughout the regular season and playoffs to capture the U19 Boys Basketball Championship for the 2015-2016 season with a perfect 8-0 record!

What sets this group of athletes apart though is not just their aptitude for the game of basketball, but their collective nature as well-rounded students. Each one of these boys contributes to the vibrant community that is the CIS. Through coaching primary and middle school teams, student council services, volunteer work and their own academic studies, they have been able to balance school life and athletics while also helping out in their community.

We had three seniors on the team this year, Kensho, Mark and Zack. We wish each of them all the best as they finish their final year at CIS and move on to their future endeavours. As for the remaining nine players: next year’s challenge will be to win back-to-back championships.

Congratulations boys! You have represented your school, your coaches, your family and yourselves very well with your conduct and outstanding achievement this year.
