Last year the Sports Department noticed that our school mascot, Husky, was feeling a little down in the dumps. Upon talking to Husky, we found out that he LOVES being part of CIS but needed a name like all the other students...so it was decided that we should ‘name our Husky'.

We ran a competition to see who could come up with the best name and, as it was his choice, Husky chose the name, Rocky! Congratulations to the JK Department - especially Rebecca Dobson's JK-4B class who brainstormed names in their classroom and put forward the catchy, super-appropriate name. Their prize is the framed shirt you can see Rocky wearing in the photo as he will be getting a brand-new shirt soon with his name on the back. Our Husky, or rather Rocky, is now a lot happier!
