Every two years, the Singapore National Games (SNG) is held for talented athletes to showcase their skills in a variety of sports, including archery, basketball, swimming and more.

This year's swimming events were held on 6 and 7 August at the Toa Payoh Centre Of Excellence Pool.

While most of our students were still on summer holiday mode, some of our swim team members were training hard in the pool, dedicated to keeping their fitness up and preparing for swim meets in the new school year.

Two of our Husky swimmers competed at SNG 2016, aiming to break their current personal best times, and make us all proud. Congrats to Nao and Yuki Takahashi for their hard work, dedication and great swims!

SNG - 1

Besides winning gold medals in multiple categories (backstroke, breaststroke, butterfly, medley relay and freestyle relay), Nao Takahashi (Grade 7) was awarded “the Most Valuable Player” within the 12U age group. Excellent swim, Nao!

Her brother, Yuki Takahashi (Grade 2), has improved his personal best by 5 seconds - not an easy improvement to achieve for a 7 year old swimmer! Well done, Yuki!

A great start to the year.

Go Huskies!
