Congratulations to Grade 4 student Geethan, who has made us proud by placing 2nd at the 2016 UWCSEA East Invitational Gymnastics competition!

Geethan began gymnastics as a Grade 1 student the same year he joined CIS. Soon after his first year in gymnastics, Geethan’s coaches at Alpha Gymnastics wanted to move him to competitive gymnastics. Geethan started training for the Men’s Artistic Gymnastics (MAG) Level 1 and he competed successfully in Hong Kong, Bangkok, Thailand, and in Singapore.

Last October, he began training with Coach Will Tan from 'Gym with me', to be the first male competitive gymnast for CIS. His rigorous training paid off on 28 February, when he represented CIS at the ACSIS sanctioned UWCSEA EAST Invitational Gymnastics Meet, in the MAG Level 2 Senior Boys category and he was placed 2nd overall.

Geethan loves sport. He plays rugby and swims for the CIS 10U teams. As a team player in the true sense, Geethan hopes that more of his classmates will join the CIS Competitive Gymnastics team so that they can encourage and support each other in competing for their school.
