The 19U Girls B Volleyball Team got off the schneid this week, earning their first victory of the season, 3 games to 1 over the girls of Tanglin Trust in their gym. The girls had previously led every match they have played in this year - but have not been able to put anyone away until Wednesday afternoon. Instead of taking our usual early lead, this afternoon we gave up the first game - a strategy that turned out to work surprisingly well. We won the next 3 games in a row to earn the victory.

Leading the CIS attack was Joelle Ling whose amazing serve was on full display as she won a full game’s worth of points on serve over the course of the afternoon. She was able to keep her serve due to it's awesome velocity and when, on rare occasion, it did come back she was supported by her line mates, Akari, Tammy, Eunju, Nynne and Jenny.

Each of our three groups played well with particularly strong performances from Ida, Chloe, Melissa, Emma and Rowan. We're still hoping our victory was enough to see us make the playoffs so we get a chance to 'shock the world'. Well done, ladies.
