The CIS Rugby Club got off to a fantastic start to their first season with a record breaking number of players enrolled. Both the 12U and 14U squads were scheduled to be in action and had such strong numbers that the club was able to enter two teams into each age category.

The 14U squads started off very strong, recording big wins over Nexus and ACSI and showing great signs of development towards the final tournament. Unfortunately, with the haze blanketing Singapore for most of the season, the teams were unable to take part in any further competitive matches.

The 12U squads' season was more greatly affected by the haze, with six out of seven rounds being cancelled. The teams did finally manage to get out for one last round of friendly competition to great success. Both teams performed heroically and recorded wins against Dulwich College.

Fortunately, there are still plenty of opportunities for rugby this year, with the Secondary School team getting their season underway in the coming weeks and the 10U, 11U and 13U squads starting up in early 2016. Stay tuned for more rugby updates!
