Husky Athletes had a great opportunity to participate in an Aquathlon (a swim-run) event at Lycee Francais de Singapour (LFS) and Duathlon (run-cycling-run) race organised by Singapore Duathlon in the East Coast Park on 28 November 2015.

A total of 236 athletes from CIS, SJII, GWA and LFS competed in the Aquathlon race at LFS. Although our athletes had only 3 training sessions with Coach Sean Mark Rose before the meet, they performed and brought home 7 medals!

Gold medallists:

  1. Ivan Martyniouk (8 year old Category)

  2. Lanihei Connolly (9 year old Category)

  3. Lee Bradford (11 year old Category)

  4. Jasmine Bowers (13 year old Category)

Silver Medallist:

  1. Daigo Mimuro (12 year old Category)

Bronze Medallists:

  1. Aiko Hama (9 year old Category)

  2. Lukasz Latuszek (12 year old Category)

At the same time, across town, our very own Barberon Sisters were representing CIS by vying for gold in team relays at the Duathlon race in the East Coast Park.

The girls finished the meet with first place trophies for each of their divisions and their achievement made CIS the 5th most successful school in the competition.

  • First place in Youth Relay - Marie Barberon & Charlotte Barberon

  • First place in Kid's Relay - Emilie Barberon & Sophie Barberon

Very impressive performances, CIS Huskies! Keep up the great work!

Go Huskies!
